A toastmaster’s job is a bit like an iceberg – nine-tenths of what he does is invisible to the naked eye, but it’s the bit that makes the difference. On the surface, what you see is a` professional, yet friendly, organiser who announces the guests as they arrive, calls the guests into the meal, introduces the speeches and announces the cutting of the cake.
But behind the scenes, he is ensuring that everything is in the right place at the right time, dealing with any minor problems and generally ensuring the whole day goes like clockwork, so bride and groom can relax and enjoy the occasion.
